What is LRC?

LRC is a file type used to play the lyrics of a song in conjunction with the song itself on certain mp3 players or on your PC. LRC could be called a Karaoke file as unlike having the full lyrics to a song LRC players only plays the lyrics which are being sung at that moment.

So if you would like lyrics to your favourite songs on the move then LRC is the format for you.

How to use LRC?

Using LRC is simple. All you will need to do is select a song and you will see a page with a selection of lyrics and times. This information must then be saved as a txt but with the a file extension .lrc . Once the file is saved you can copy it and the relevant song to a compatible mp3 player. Please note for lyrics to be played both files must have the same file name, although the song will be an mp3 and lyrics file will be .lrc . Once both files are on your mp3 player you need to consult your mp3 instructions and you will be able to play the file.

Step by step guide.

1. Select a song.

2.Click File, then Save As and choose a location where you want to save a file.

3. Choose a file name. This should be the same as the name of the corresponding mp3 but should end with .LRC (see below for an example).

5. Copy the LRC file and the coresponding MP3 to a compatible MP3 player.
